Tic Tac Toe Early Childhood Psychology

Our approach

Every big step starts with a small move.

We meet your child through play, curiosity and connection, and work alongside you as their parent.

A familiar game. A gentle way to grow.

For us, the name reflects how growth and learning often come from small, everyday moments. Just like the game, our work is built on connection, turn-taking, and shared experiences.

  1. Take a turn

Progress unfolds step by step. We meet your child where they are and move at a pace that feels safe.

  2. Connect

Sessions are built around your child's interests, curiosity and the relationships that help them feel secure.

  3. Share the moment

We collaborate with parents and carers so learning continues in the small moments of everyday life.

Meeting your child where they are.

You do not need to have all the answers before you reach out. Families come to us with many different worries — and we begin by listening.

  • Big feelings that are hard to name
  • Worries about learning or development
  • Friendship and social challenges
  • Feeling more confident as a parent

What a session can feel like

Simple steps. Shared progress.

  1. 01

We get to know your child

We take time to understand their interests, strengths and what helps them feel safe.

  2. 02

    We play and practise together

Sessions are creative and playful, tailored to your child and family.

  3. 03

You leave with tools for home

You take away practical ideas you can use in everyday life.

Four ways we stay close to what matters.

  • Play-led

Play is how we begin. We follow your child's curiosity.

  • Strengths-based

Support that acknowledges each child's unique abilities.

  • Evidence-informed

Approaches may include CBT, ACT, mindfulness-based strategies, play therapy and ESDM where appropriate.

  • Family partnership

A caring partnership with you — because parents and carers are central to their child's support.

A small first step, together.

Tell us a little about your family and we'll be in touch to talk through next steps.
